Quality Assurance & Testing

Every lens undergoes rigorous multi-point inspection ensuring optical excellence.

100% Inspection Protocol

Every EverClear lens passes through our comprehensive quality assurance system. No lens leaves our facility without meeting strict optical performance criteria and ISO compliance standards.

Six-Point Inspection Process

Prescription Verification

1. Prescription Verification

Digital lensmeter measurement confirms sphere, cylinder, axis, addition, and prism values match the prescription within ±0.12D tolerance.

  • Automated lensmeter verification
  • ISO 21987:2017 compliance
  • Power tolerance: ±0.12D
  • Axis tolerance: ±2°
Optical Centre Accuracy

2. Optical Centre Accuracy

Precise measurement of optical centre location and progressive corridor alignment ensuring proper positioning for frame fitting.

  • ±0.1mm positional accuracy
  • Corridor alignment verification
  • Distance between lenses (DBL)
  • Pantoscopic tilt evaluation
Surface Quality Inspection

3. Surface Quality Inspection

Comprehensive examination of both lens surfaces for cosmetic defects, inclusions, or manufacturing marks that could affect vision or appearance.

  • Surface scratch inspection
  • Inclusion detection
  • Edge quality assessment
  • Engraving verification
Coating Integrity Testing

4. Coating Integrity Testing

Multi-layer coating system verification including adhesion, uniformity, and optical performance characteristics.

  • Cross-hatch adhesion test
  • Reflectance measurement
  • Hydrophobic contact angle
  • UV transmission blocking
Thickness & Edge Profile

5. Thickness & Edge Profile

Centre thickness and edge thickness measurements verified against specification with ±0.05mm tolerance for cosmetic and weight optimization.

  • Centre thickness verification
  • Edge thickness measurement
  • Safety edge bevel (rimless/nylor)
  • EN 166 compliance for safety
Final Visual & Packaging

6. Final Visual & Packaging

Complete visual inspection under controlled lighting followed by secure packaging with full documentation and traceability.

  • Final cosmetic inspection
  • Engraving and markings accuracy
  • Operator ID and batch number
  • Label match confirmation
